Sharing the pictures from our amazing honeymoon to Washington! This was our first big vacation across the country together and now we can’t wait to go on so many more! I’m not sure why, but we have both wanted to visit Seattle for so long. We have always just felt like we belong in the west and this trip confirmed that! For this vacation, we planned a few things that we 100% wanted to see and do. The best parts about this whole experience were the many random places and things we stumbled upon. We met so many people who gave us the best recommendations that we never would have found using the internet. We made the most of every minute in the Pacific Northwest! Washington now holds a special place in my heart ❤
Day 1: Explored Pike Place Market and the pier. Saw The Gum Wall, the Starbucks Reserve and UPS Waterfall.
Day 2: My favorite day by far. Visited the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle Japanese Garden, Washington Park Arboretum. We then took the water taxi to Alki Beach to see the lighthouse and hang out on the beach. We ate at Blue Moon Burgers on the beach! What a wonderful day this was.
Day 3: Explored Pioneer Square, had drinks with an amazing view at the Observatory Bar at the top of Smith Tower, and watched the sunset at Gas Works Park.
Day 4: Saw the beautiful Snoqualmie falls, took a walk to the cute little town of Snoqaulmie where we stumbled upon the coolest railroad museum with a train station and so many old trains! Then, we went to Twede’s Cafe otherwise known as the R R Diner from the show Twin Peaks (one of our favorite shows). It was awesome to see the cafe where they filmed parts from the show! This whole day was so much fun!
Day 5 Neko Cat Cafe, a sail boat ride around the Puget Sound, went to a seafood restaurant on the Puget Sound for dinner & an ice cream parlor for desert.
Day 6: Seattle Aquarium, ate at the Pink Door restaurant (bucket list item!), rode bikes around Alki Beach!
